Election Day

On November 6, election day, the ballot will include two statewide measures (Proposition 1 and Proposition 2) and several local measures to address the affordable housing crisis.

Proposition 1 will authorize $4 billion in housing bonds to create stable housing for veterans, struggling families, and people experiencing homelessness.  Proposition 2 will provide $2 billion in housing bonds to increase housing opportunities for people who are homeless and living with serious mental illnesses.For more information on Props 1 and 2, go to www.yesonprops1and2.org

Measure V will authorize $450 million in housing bonds to finance affordable housing in San Jose.  It will increase the number of housing opportunities for vulnerable homeless residents, working families, veterans, seniors, teachers, nurses and more.   For more information on San Jose’s Measure V, visit www.VoteAffordableSJ.org

In Santa Cruz County, Measure H would authorize $140 million in housing bonds to finance affordable housing for low- and moderate-income people, as well as housing for the homeless and first time homeowners.
