DESCRIPTION

Kiku Crossing is a newly built 225-unit affordable housing community in the heart of downtown San Mateo. The property includes a range of studios, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments, with 80 project-based units managed by the Housing Authority. Of these units, 17 are reserved for residents who qualify for supportive services preferences, including 8 units set aside for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).

Kiku Crossing’s central location provides easy access to public transit, parks, the library, and nearby retail options. The community offers a range of amenities to support residents’ well-being and daily living.

Onsite supportive services are provided by MidPen Services, with coordination from a network of service-provider partners to meet the diverse needs of residents, including families and individuals with supportive housing needs.

Kiku Crossing provides a welcoming, affordable living environment designed to foster community and independence in downtown San Mateo.

. Kiku Crossing will have units specifically designed for those with mobility, hearing and visual impairments. 34 units will be mobility handicapped accessible and 24 units will have features designed for hearing and visually impaired, and an additional 191 units will be adaptable. Applicants with disabilities will receive priority for these specific units. Priority for these units will be assigned based on lottery number and waitlist order.
